MEGTRON 4 Supports the World’s Fastest Super Computer
MEGTRON 4 laminate has been chosen for the next generation supercomputer “K” – jointly developed by RIKEN and Fujitsu Limited. *1
In June 2011, the “K” system achieved the fastest calculation speed in the world. *2
The MEGTRON4 board material is now readily available from MATRIX.
It has superior electrical properties and heat resistance reliability.

*1 Ranked No. 1 in the latest “TOP500” ranking (announced June 20th, 2011). The “TOP500” measures the calculation speed of the world’s supercomputers using a program called “LINPACK” and decides the top 500 in the world. The latest rankings are announced twice per year, in June and November.
*2 “K” is the name used for the next generation supercomputer being used by RIKEN.
