Matsushita Electric Works Selects Matrix As US/Canada Distributor
Matsushita Electronic Works today announced the appointment of Matrix Electronics Limited and Matrix USA Inc. as their exclusive distributors in North America. The Matrix Group will stock, sell and support Matsushita’s full product offering of laminate systems to the PCB Industry in the USA and Canada. These products include the industry’s first choice for Pb-Free laminate, R-1755. All future shipments of Matsushita’s PCB materials will be made through one of Matrix’s value-added facilities located in Toronto, Ontario, Chicago, IL, Bristol, CT and Santa Ana, CA.
Matrix has purchased the value-added fabrication equipment from Matsushita’s Oregon facility including automated paneling, stamping and packaging machines. Matrix will be allocating this equipment to its respective value-added fabrication facilities across the country. “We are delighted to have made this exclusive agreement with MEW and to be associated with the Global Technology Leader of Printed Circuit Materials”, reports Ed Healy, CEO of the Matrix Group of Companies.
Matrix has been in the value-added and distribution business in Canada since 1977 and over the past 3 years has established similar operations in various locations throughout the USA. Matrix will be in a position to ship the full Matsushita product offering to North American customers by October 1st, 2005.
